Fairways is a full-service restaurant and bar that brings Lowcountry Southern-inspired cooking to Peoria. Led by Chef Josh Lanning—known for his soulful, elevated cuisine—Fairways delivers bold flavors in a relaxed setting. Dine indoors, out on the patio, or from the comfort of The Bays.
Reservations aren’t needed, but groups of 6 or more are encouraged to call ahead. Carry-out is coming soon!

For Chef Joshua Lanning, cooking over fire isn’t just about great flavor—it’s about family, tradition, and bringing people together. From kitchens like Noma in Copenhagen to Michelin-starred SingleThread in California, Joshua’s journey has been world-class. But his heart has always been in Peoria, where his late father first lit the spark for cooking over embers.
Now back home, Joshua’s blending high-end skill with hometown hospitality—dreaming of a year-round spot where he can grow his own ingredients, fire up his dad’s 5-ton barbecue rig, and serve up recipes passed down from father to son. Because for him, every meal is more than food—it’s a story.
And at Fairways, it’s a story best enjoyed after a perfect round.
